Paul McLaren

Paul McLaren (b. 1999, Brooklyn, NY) is a curator, cultural strategist and student. He will earn his B.A. in African-American Studies and Sociology at Wesleyan University in May 2021 where his research focuses on contemporary black art and culture since 2000. Paul has held a number of positions in the cultural sector including working as a teaching assistant and marketing intern at the International Center of Photography, an editorial intern at The FADER, a production intern for contemporary artist Hank Willis Thomas, and, most recently, he completed a curatorial internship at the Whitney Museum of American Art where he worked on the 2019 Whitney Biennial. In addition, Paul is a cellist, skincare fanatic, amateur chef and Larry David disciple. This summer, Paul was selected as a 2020 Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP) Fellow where he completed a Brand Strategy Internship at MullenLowe in New York. He currently works as an Associate Strategist at fwd.
